Susan’s passion for music began at the age of 6. She has
had 10 years of classical piano lessons, and hit the
stage early in life in pageants, church and state
competitions. From the university Dixieland Jazz band to
rock, country, reggae and hip-hop cover bands, Susan was
asked to join their ranks. After college, Susan
discovered the dueling piano concept and became ADDICTED
to it!
Susan grew up in a small-town just outside of Hot
Springs, Arkansas. After graduating from high school as
Class President, Valedictorian, and a 4-sport athlete,
she attended the University of Central Arkansas in
Conway, Arkansas. While at UCA, she was a member of the
Honors College, Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority President, and
Miss University of Central Arkansas 2001, representing
UCA in the Miss Arkansas America State Pageant. She left
UCA with a Mathematics Degree, diverted from the
Pre-Medicine path she was on, and began work in
corporate world as a Radio Frequency Engineer for Alltel
Communications.
Susan worked in corporate world for a year full-time and
performed 5 nights a week in Little Rock, Arkansas. As
she got started learning the art of sing-along,
performance as a dueling pianist, she has not stopped
since! She jumped the “corporate ship” and pursued her
music career full-force for 5 years now.
Susan has opened for major acts, as well as headlined
with her band for benefits, major events, and
conventions. She has traveled the country, primarily in
the mid-west, performing in many dueling piano venues.
Susan’s primary instrument is piano, but she also plays
several other instruments. You will see her play the
drums, keytar, or harmonica four nights a week here at
Piano Piano, Wednesday through Saturday. |
